TheVillageofWorking Hands
Sirjana · The Village of Working Hands
Twenty-five contiguous acres of pristine sub-mountainous land, founded as an intentional sanctuary where modern humanity reclaims sacred physical labour, unpolluted nature, inner stillness, and collective familial care over commercial consumerism.
Chapter 1 · The Genesis
Abeaconofhopeinanageofcommercial exhaustion.
While the twenty-first-century era of the internet, hyper-mechanization, and material convenience has provided unprecedented comforts, this blind rat race has quietly hollowed out what is most sacred in human life. It has severely compromised our food, soil, air, pure water, mental equanimity, interpersonal relationships, and the age-old social fabric that once held human communities together.
Today, from young children to the elderly, individuals across the world are falling prey to psychological exhaustion, chronic ailments, and spiritual emptiness. Conventional institutions appear helpless in the face of this crisis, as the relentless pursuit of commercial wealth, ostentation, and superficial status dominates every sphere of public and private existence.
Sirjana Pind is not a suburban housing colony, an eco-resort, or a commercial real estate scheme. It is a deliberate, conscious intentional community dedicated to higher ideals, physical truth, and genuine inner peace — built for discerning individuals whose mindset transcends conventional social conditioning.
Chapter 2 · The Pillars
FourCornerstonesoftheNew Life
The physical and spiritual blueprint governing every acre, kitchen hearth, and collective decision.
PLATE 1Work Culture
A Culture of Work
Building a culture where every kind of work — hands-on, skilled or artisanal — is held in equal respect. Idle, indolent conduct has no place; every resident contributes actively to daily agricultural, dairy, culinary hearth, or administrative duties, eradicating the false hierarchy between intellectual and physical work.
PLATE 2Nature
Pristine Nature
Absolute freedom from chemical pollution. All food cultivated with zero synthetic pesticides or urea. Naturally sweet mineral-rich tubewell water, 100% herbal in-house soaps ensuring non-toxic greywater irrigation, off-grid solar and biogas power, and an absolute ban on single-use plastics.
PLATE 3Mindfulness
Mindfulness & Ragas
Fostering mental peace and inner silence through daily sunrise Yoga Nidra and Pranayama, quiet canopied huts in dedicated Silence Zones for introspection and Maun, and soothing evening classical ragas whose music therapy gently dissolves mental fatigue.
PLATE 4Togetherness
Collective Family
A registered Society of 100 equal shareholders governed by a 67% democratic consensus rule. Comprehensive free medical care and dedicated caregiving during illness or old age stands as a foundational moral duty, accompanied by equitable surplus profit-sharing.
Chapter 3 · Terroir
ThepristineterrainofDistrict Hoshiarpur.
The location of Sirjana Pind was not chosen by chance. The sub-mountainous Kandi belt of District Hoshiarpur sits in the serene transition between Punjab's fertile plains and the Shivalik foothills, bordering natural wilderness and forest tracts.
Unlike intensive industrial agricultural zones, this sub-mountainous landscape remains blessed with sweet, unpolluted groundwater that requires no chemical filtration, clean mountain air, and mineral-dense soil. A high, heavy-duty chain-link fence rings all 25 acres to harmonize peaceful human living with surrounding wildlife.
